2015 Ben Elephant Ball

The Launceston Benevolent Society Inc will be conducting its annual fundraiser The Ben Elephant "black tie" Ball at the Country Club Tasmania on Friday 23 October 2015

The Ball, conducted for the first time in 2014, was a great success, it enabled assistance for some of the less fortunate with in our community. Another great event is anticipated this year.

Established in 1834, The Launceston Benevolent Society is the oldest continuously operating welfare agency in Australia, and provides assistance and encouragement of self help to people in Launceston and surrounds. Services they provide include food vouchers, food parcels, clothing, blankets, linen, child care products, nappies, toys and furniture; assistance with payment of electricity, telephone accounts and some transport costs.

The Chief Executive Office of the Launceston Benevolent Society, John Stuart, has two aims in mind for this years event.

“Firstly, to raise much needed funds to support our services to those in need within our community and secondly to increase the awareness and knowledge of the Society.”
