Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is one of the world's largest Christian social welfare organisations with more than 1,650,000 members working in over 127 countries.

They have been in Australia for over 130 years and currently we have more than 8,500 active officers and staff delivering in excess of 1000 specifically designed social programs across Australia.

In Tasmania, the Salvation Army provides a wide range of social support services include; aged care, community and family support, court and prison services, domestic violence, drug and alcohol, youth services and more.

Since 2010, IGA Tasmania has provided $60k of support with food cards via IGA’s Charity Relief program.
