Tasmanian Independent Retailers Co-Operative Society Limited is the ultimate controlling entity. Membership of the Society is restricted to those persons / body corporate entities  that meet the active membership requirements in accordance with our rules and the Co-Operative Act (TAS) 1999.

There are presently two main trading divisions that operate under the Society, those being Tasmanian Independent Retailers and Island Fresh Produce. Tasmanian Independent Retailers is responsible for the marketing of independent supermarket retailers in Tasmanian whereas Island Fresh Produce is responsible for the distribution of fresh fruit and vegetable products to our retailers and other food service customers. Tasmanian Independent  Retailers has offices located in both Launceston and Hobart. Island Fresh Produce has offices / distributions centres located in Launceston, Hobart and Devonport.
