IGA Tasmania stores today announced a new community initiative to raise $50,000 for Tasmanians in need this winter. Chief Executive Officer of Tasmanian Independent Retailers (TIR) Grant Hinchcliffe said IGA Tasmania stores hoped to raise $50,000 to go towards winter relief appeals at the St Vincent De Paul Society, Launceston and Hobart City Missions, Salvation Army and the Launceston and Hobart Benevolent Societies. |

IGA Tasmania stores today announced their support of the world’s most challenging fundraising drive, 1000kms4Kids, which aims to raise funds for the purchase of Second Skin Splints for Tasmanians with cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy Tasmania CEO Kevin Kreiner said nearly 17 million people around the world have cerebral palsy. |

Tasmanian retail industry donates $50,000 to Victorian bushfire appeal |

Tasmania’s independent retailers have shown tremendous generosity and support, raising $50,000 to go towards the Victorian bushfire appeal. Industry groups involved in the fundraising effort include Tasmanian Food and Allied Trades Association (TF&ATA), Statewide Independent Wholesalers (SIW) and IGA Supermarkets on behalf of Tasmanian Independent Retailers. |
