Tasmanian Independent Retailers is a trading division of Tasmanian Independent Retailers Co-Operative Society Limited. The Society was formed in 1947 by a group of independent traders to improve their buying power and improve service and prices to customers. The same philosophy applies today albeit the size of the Society and the members it represents has grown significantly since its inception.
